The PV-183(*) has eight chipsets. Linux (and Windows) will only show / load eight 'drivers'. Linux will show bttv0 - bttv7 in the kernel log (and also 'dmesg').
Linux users may need to specify this command as root: modprobe bttv card=98,98,98,98,98,98,98,98
If you are using Zoneminder (and other Linux applications) you can access the ports by this format:
/dev/video0
/dev/video1
/dev/video2
/dev/video3
/dev/video4
/dev/video5
/dev/video6
/dev/video7
If you are using the PV-183_16 you can access all 16 ports by this format: /dev/video0
Channel: 0-1
/dev/video1

/dev/video4

/dev/video5

/dev/video6

Linux users may add the following to /etc/modprobe.conf so this command is run at startup:
options bttv card=98,98,98,98,98,98,98,98
