Would be really usefull to limit the FPS that events get recorded with. It's nice to have a fluid live view but makes little sense to waste hdd space on 24fps video when even 1fps would be sufficient for surveilance purposes.
Especially true for low bandwidth live streaming apps - do not need high fps or resolution.
The way to solve this is use the mobile stream on a multi stream cam and set the fps as a parameter of the URL.
I was talking about the web live view - as that is the most common way to view cams remotely via the browser.
See email I sent on using H264 in HTML 5 or if you prefer you can stream MJPG. Either way the browser live client should have a parameter for frame rate which is common for NVR software.
