Events logged as 8 hrs 2 min, but only a few seconds recorded.

I had the unfortunate situation to discover that someone had climbed onto our roof and pinched an outdoor camera in the middle of the night. Thinking I might have captured something I went along to our bluecherry event log only to find that all motion enabled cameras have a event logged for 8hrs 2 minutes around that time but when opened they only contain a few seconds worth of capture from the start of the capture earlier in the evening. So all we had was a brief moment when the camera was still there, and then captures from later in the night when the camera was no longer... (analog camera , so had lots of "motion" captures of noise)

A bit annoying, but these things happen.

Trying to work out why this occurred, and all events seem to be okay since I was looking through the blue cherry log file. The is an entry that shows:

Sep 19 19:16:13 dvr bc-server[3545]: I(10/Office): Motion event started

Sep 19 19:16:21 dvr bc-server[3545]: I(13/Side Gate): Motion event stopped

Sep 20 03:28:11 dvr bc-server[3545]: I(3/Center): Motion event started

Events from 03:28am are okay. Events from 19:28 are the ones recorded as 8hours.

I am suspecting the:

Sep 20 03:28:11 dvr bc-server[3545]: I: Cleaned up 100 files

Might have something to do with causing the problem?

Matt
