Upgrade Datebase issue

Upgraded to Server 2.1.7-6 now, in upgrade to 2.1.7 and it appears the database did not get upgraded properly but system continued to work until disk reached 100%. Have deleted some files and turned off all recording to restore system to working state. Log shows the following error:

Security bc-server[1012]: E(): Query error: [DELETE FROM Media WHERE id=49491] => Cannot delete or update a parent row: a foreign key constraint fails (`bluecherry`.`EventsCam`, CONSTRAINT `EventsCam_ibfk_1` FOREIGN KEY (`media_id`) REFERENCES `Media` (`id`))

trying to access database with "mysql -u bluecherry bluecherry –execute=”select value from GlobalSettings where parameter=’G_LAST_CURRENT_VERSION’;” -p" gives error:

ERROR 1045 (28000): Access denied for user 'bluecherry'@'localhost' (using password: NO)

/etc/bluecherry.conf contains correct user and password values correct

command "mysqlcheck -u bluecherry -p bluecherry" queries me for password which when entered shows all values with OK status

Also, have problem that initial default recording location on 256GB SSD system drive is no longer shown on "Storage" page and the two additional storage locations (2 x 2TB drives) that said they were added successfully do not get used and now shown storage estimate of 0 time.
